Ladbrokes

Before you can bet, operators check what you can afford and where your money comes from, so your income and your bank statements go on file. Self-exclusion registers then share you across operators. Many keep the file five to ten years after your last log-in.

Affected Website tracking before the cookie choice

A Swansea University GREAT Centre audit of all 624 gambling websites licensed by the Gambling Commission, reported by the Guardian on 6 September 2026, found 86% appeared to breach UK GDPR at least once and 67% sent unique user identifiers to third-party analytics and marketing platforms before consent. The Guardian named Ladbrokes among the well-known operators that began harvesting data before consent was given, and said researchers found the data went to third-party analytics platforms used for marketing. Entain, which owns Ladbrokes, said any data it collected before consent was not used for advertising or marketing.

People affected typically ask Ladbrokes to confirm whether their information was included, and which categories.
