TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated 17 August 2026

1 · What the service is

DÆTRAX is a ledger. It helps you record which companies hold your data, generate requests grounded in the law that applies to you, and track what happens to them. Requests are sent from your own inbox, never ours. Replies arrive in your inbox, never ours. We store the status you record, not the reply itself. Your record is yours.

2 · Not legal advice

We are not your lawyers and nothing on this service is legal advice. The letters the service generates name the right you are exercising and the deadline that applies, and they are worded for how the system actually works: plain asks rather than recited statutes, written in full awareness of the carve-outs and compliance duties companies operate under. What happens on the company's side cannot be verified from the outside. A reply is the company's claim, and the service logs it as a claim, not a fact. So we do not promise outcomes: not a reply, not a deletion, not a deadline met. What the service gives you is the record of what you asked and when.

3 · Your account

One account, one person, that person's own record. Sign-in is by emailed link, so your inbox is your key; keep it secure. You must be at least 18. Requests go out under your name, not ours, so what you put in them must be true.

4 · Your data stays yours

You grant us no licence over what you put in your ledger beyond the minimum needed to store it and show it back to you. We claim no ownership. We do not publish it, license it, or sublicense it. Whatever licence you do grant ends when you delete the data or the account. The one use we keep is aggregate counts that contain no identities, as described in the privacy policy.

5 · Paying

Pro is a monthly subscription, billed through our payment processor, cancellable at any time from settings. Cancelling stops the next charge; what you have paid for runs to the end of its period. A price change takes effect at your next renewal, with notice beforehand, never mid-period.

6 · Acceptable use

The service is for keeping your own record and exercising your own rights. Do not use it to file requests about anyone but yourself, to harass companies or people, or to probe, overload, or scrape the service. Rate limits exist; engineering around them is grounds for closing the account.

7 · What we are liable for

We run the service carefully, and we sell record-keeping, not insurance. To the fullest extent the law allows: the service is provided as is; we are not liable for what any company does or fails to do in response to your requests; we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses; and our total liability for anything arising from the service is capped at the amount of your most recent payment to us. If you have never paid us, our total liability is zero.

8 · Ending

You can end this at any time: delete the account in settings. That is the whole procedure. We can close an account that breaks section 6, with an explanation. If we ever shut the service down, you will get at least 30 days' notice, and the export button will work until the end.

9 · Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. A material change is announced before it applies. Using the service after it applies is acceptance.
