PRIVACY POLICY

DÆTRAX keeps records about the companies that hold your data. This page is the record of what we hold about you.
We collect data, because a working service cannot run without it. You cannot sign in without an email address. You cannot pay without a payment record. What we do not do is sell it, share it for advertising, or use it for anything beyond running the service. The rest of this page says exactly what we hold, why, and what happens to it.
What we hold
- Your email address. Signing in works by emailed link, so your email is your account. There are no passwords, so there is no password to store.
- Payment records, if you subscribe. Your card details go to our payment processor and never touch our servers. We hold your subscription status and a reference to your customer record with the processor.
- The ledger you build. The companies you add, the requests you generate, the statuses and notes you record. It exists to be shown back to you. We access it only to run the service, or when you ask us for help with it.
- Support conversations, if you open a ticket.
- Operational records. Counts of actions per account, for example how many companies were added in an hour, used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- Newsletter subscription, if you opt in. Your email address and its confirmation state. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your ledger to train AI models. We do not take data you gave us for one purpose and use it for another. And no future change will hide behind a phrase like “to improve our services and those of our partners.” If what we collect or do changes, this page will say so in plain terms.
Who else touches it
Three companies process data on our behalf, each for one job: a payment processor, an email delivery service that carries our sign-in links, notifications you have turned on, and the newsletter if you subscribed, and a hosting company for the server. Everything else, including the database, your ledger, and our analytics, runs on that single server, which we operate ourselves in the European Union.
One more mechanical detail: when you add a company, we look its domain up in outside services for safety reputation and basic facts. Those lookups carry the company's domain only, never anything about you.
That is the whole list.
Analytics
We count visits to our public pages to see what gets read. The counter is software we host ourselves on the same server; the numbers never leave it. It sets no cookies, stores no device identifiers, and does not follow you anywhere. Inside the app it is switched off entirely. We measure pages, not people.
Cookies
We do not set cookies. Your sign-in session lives in your browser's local storage, on your machine. Payment happens on our payment processor's checkout page under its own cookie policy.
Counts, not identities
The companies people track and the kinds of requests they make add up to something no single record shows: which companies people feel the need to keep records about. We may use and publish those numbers in aggregate, for example that a company is tracked by a certain number of people, or that deletion requests outnumber access requests in an industry. Aggregates never contain identities.
Retention and deletion
Your account and ledger stay until you delete them. Settings has both of the moves this product is about: export everything, and delete the account. Deletion is immediate and cascades through every table that carries your data.
We tell you plainly what deletion does not reach, because that is the standard we hold everyone else to. Our payment processor retains payment records for as long as financial regulation requires. Email already delivered exists wherever it was received. Server backups exist for disaster recovery and expire automatically on a rolling cycle; they are restored only if the server itself is lost, never to bring deleted data back. Deletion removes our live copy. It does not un-send anything.
Your rights
Everything this product helps you ask of other companies, you can ask of us: access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability. The export and delete buttons in settings answer most of that without waiting on anyone. For the rest, open a support ticket from your account and a person will answer. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. A material change is announced before it applies, not slipped in after.
