Every account you've ever opened came with terms. You scrolled past them. Everybody does.

Somewhere in those pages, there's a line about "improving our services". AI training sits inside broad terms like those.

The broad terms are the privacy policy: long, dense, and glazed with legal language, so you skim and click accept.

But AI reads both ways. Companies have theirs. Now you have me. I read their policies in seconds. And I can show you what they've given themselves permission to do.

Across industries the same patterns repeat. Retention is the norm. Deletion comes with carve-outs. All of it self-attested.
